R.I.P. Sazon Diamante.

When ever this month rolls in I never really know what or how I am suppose to be feeling yes its the second month of the year, yes it’s my sisters birthday month along with a few other friends but it is also a month where I lost a friend someone who is basically family to both my sisters and myself.

I found myself day dreaming a lot the last couple of days and I couldn’t really under stand why this one song was stuck in my head till today when I went on Facebook and all of my really good friends status’s popped up..

La Calle – Sazon Diamante has be been one song that has been on repeat in my head for a good week even when I was getting some bad news I heard that song and all my worries just went away ( songs like these are friggin amazing!!)

9 years later and this man’s music is sill with the times some say but me I say its longevity  :o)

This past thursday was the 9th anniversary of the big homie Davie’s death and well here is my tribute to him, its not much its not a mix ( I couldn’t get into the studio to throw one together but trust I will soon!)  but here you go! Enjoy

Yes I know this year I said more updates and blogging and I have slacked hard! sorry peoples!!

alright lets goooo!!

Red Bull 3 styles happened this past week in vancouver and as most know I was Team Flipout and Tanner!!! towards the middle of the night my sister Jenno was team Flipout and I was team Tanner lol . Shout out to all the DJ’s who entered and to She for being the 1st female to enter!

Flipout came in 1st place, Tanner 2nd and Sam Demo 3rd! Congrats fellas!!

For those of you know don’t know who Flipout is he is one of the reason’s why I actually started to DJ I remember listening to him, Jay Swing and Checkmate on the World Wide Ride and wanting to be just like them it has always been one of my goals to get to DJ alongside these fella’s and trust that day will come soon lol

DJ Tanner is one of the first DJ’s to get me started on the electro tip a few summers ago I would go out every weekend to where ever he was DJing just to watch him DJ and to learn how to play electro even tho there where many drunk night’s this guy basically taught me how to  play a genre I knew nothing about, I don’t think he even knows this haha oh well

This was the first time I actually got to be a door girl ( shout out to Jenno and Surya lol) and man was it fun lol I have never met so many random drunk people ever and all the people who came out and made extra donations you guys are TRULY AMAZING!

It’s rare for me to remember to blog yet alone where I put my keys and lately I must say my memory is getting better lol.

With that being said! Today is one of those days where I wish I was spending my day hanging out/ dancing with someone special or with my girlfriends. I was listening to DJ Starting From Scratch and Devo on Flow today and Scratch did a tribute to Teddy Pendergrass. I went from having one of the crappiest nights of my life the night before; to me  pushing for a GREAT day today and it started off great with a good friend who basically guarantee’s to put a major smile on my face, to me coming home and listening to one of the DJ’s I look up to play amazing music!

I know I was not the only one having a bad day last night and I know someone reading this blog maybe had a bad day at work today and I hope after you read this or any of my other post’s your day gets that much brighter and if that doesn’t work go down load some Teddy Pendergrass and dance annnd if that doesn’t work go find my big homie Jack Daniels and tell him I sent you

Is seriously where it is at!! It’s very rare for me to be both especially on the same day lol

Last night I had a pretty long talk with one of my friends and the things he was telling me made a lot of sense and knocked a lot of sense into me. Why wait for someone else to do it when you can do it yourself.  I remember when I first came back from Toronto I was on this no one can stop me mode then a few months went by and that feeling started to fade away but! thankfully it came back to me last night and man am I glad to have it back!

I have been sitting in front of my lap tops for the past 4 hours trying to figure out a few mix tapes and finding new music that I actually like and I came across Mario’s song Thinkin’ about you, I remembered how much I love this song it would always put me in a happy place so it was like putting icing on a cake for me.  Figured I’d pass the joy on to you guys
